Henrich Friedrich Wiemann was born on 20 Dec 1816 in Hilter, Amt Iburg, Königreich Hannover.4,5,6 He was baptized on 26 Dec 1816 in Johannes der Täufer Kirche, Hilter, Königreich Hannover, with Henr. Fried. Wehrkamp, Jürg. Henr. Cammann, and Anna Mar. Elis. Spiring as godparents.1He became a mason in Hilter.15,16
Henrich applied for permission to emigrate to North Ameria, by himself, stating he had assets of 60 reichstalter (about $45 at the time). His application was granted 30 Aug 1839.17
Henrich arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, in the fourth quarter of 1839, traveling with no other family members.18
He immigrated to the United States. According to family lore he immigrated with his brothers Henry and Christian, to avoid serving in the German army. It appears they did not actually arrive together. A record has been found that shows Henry's arrival in 1844, but the others were not listed with him. There are records of several other Wiemanns or Weimanns arriving in the late 1830's and early 1840's, of which the one that appears most likely to be him is a F. H. Weimann, a mason age 22, who arrived in Baltimore in the fourth quarter of 1939.19,20,21
After he immigrated, he was known as Friedrich Wiemann, or Fred, or more formally Friedrich H. The surname was variously spelled Wiemann or Wieman, though it appears he most commonly use the former spelling.22,23,24,3
Friedrich married Anna Maria Catharine Charlotte Rothefeld, daughter of Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Rothefeld and Catharine Maria Stöppelwerth, on 31 Aug 1843 in North German Lutheran Church, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. William Seib officiating.7,8,9
Friedrich and Anna appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, enumerated 6 Sep 1850. Their son John was listed as living with them.23
Friedrich and his brother, Henry, were in the stone mason business. They were supposed to have put the foundations under many of the old buildings in Cincinnati, among them the older part of the Alms and Doepke Co.25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34
Friedrich and Anna appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, enumerated 12 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $2000. Their children John, Wilhelmina, George and Elizabeth were listed as living with them.35
Henrich registered for the draft for the Civil War, appearing on the register dated in Jun 1863, while living in 100 Gest St., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as a stone mason.36
Friedrich and his family were living at 100 Gest St. by 1869, and his brother Henry and his family were living next door at 102 Gest St.37
Friedrich was naturalized before 1870.38
Friedrich and Anna appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, enumerated 7 Jul 1870, reporting real estate of $5000 and personal estate of $800. Their children Wilhelmina, George, Elizabeth, Amelia and Johann were listed as living with them.24
Friedrich and Anna appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 100 Gest St., enumerated 14 Jun 1880. Their children Elizabeth, George, and Wilhelmina, were listed as living with them, as was Wihelmina's daughter, Cora Marie Snyder.39
Henrich Friedrich Wiemann and Anna Maria Catharine Charlotte Rothefeld were charter members of the old German Lutheran Church on Walnut St., between 8th and 9th Sts. It was later moved to Scioto and Calhoun St.40
His wife died on 8 Jun 1891.41,42,43
Friedrich died on 11 May 1898 at age 81.10,11,12 He was buried on 15 May 1898 in the German Protestant Cemetery, Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio, in the family plot owned by him and his brother Henry.13,14

Edward appears only in the 1870 census, which does not state relationships, and not in 1880, when he would have been 14, nor has he been found in later records. He's not listed with their other children in Louise Fenker's account, which suggests either he was not their child, or he didn't survive. He does not appear in the family plot at Walnut Hills Cemetery with the other children who died young unless he was the Johann H. E. who died 31 Mar in an un-recorded year between 1858 and 1879, at age 6 years 8 days.57,58,40,59
