Cora Marie Snyder was born on 25 Oct 1875 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio.8,9,10Her father died on 20 Jul 1876, when Cora was eight months old.14,15,16 Cora appeared with her mother, Wilhelmina Louise Wieman, on the 1880 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of Friedrich Wiemann and Anna Maria Catharine Charlotte Rothefeld, her maternal grandparents.17
She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bullittsville, Boone Co., Kentucky, in the household of her mother and stepfather, William Frederick Siekman.18
Cora married John Herman Niemann, son of Gerhart Henry Niemann and Mina Maschmeier, on 11 Oct 1905 in Bullittsville, Boone Co., Kentucky, with W. D. Early officiating.11,12
Cora and John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Snyder Park, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 88 Price Ave., enumerated 19 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children William and John were listed as living with them.19
Cora was named an heir in the will of William Frederick Siekman, her stepfather, dated 6 Dec 1915, to receive an equal share with her siblings and half-siblings in all his property after the death of his widow.20
Cora and John appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 6726 Jersey Ave., enumerated 9 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children William, John and Hilda were listed as living with them.21
After 1923 her mother lived with her two daughters. She lived with Cora in the winter and with Clara in the summers.22
Cora and John appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 6739 Lower River Rd., enumerated 4 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned a home worth $6000, and had a radio. Their children William, John and Hilda were listed as living with them, as well as her mother.23
On 2 Dec 1935 Cora and her step-siblings Frederick and Clara Siekman and Johanna Marie Doering sold their shares in the land in Boone Co., Kentucky, that her step-father had left them all in his will, subject to the life-estate of his widow, who had died in Dec 1933. They received $6,000 for their interests in four parcels totaling 272 acres.24
Cora died on 17 Apr 1937 in 6739 Lower River Rd., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at age 61, at her home.13,9 She was buried on 20 Apr 1937 in Walnut Hills Cemetery.4
