Linah M. Eaker was born about 1862 in KentuckyG.4,5
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Mayfield, Graves Co., KentuckyG, in the household of his parents, John Eaker and Rebecca E. Mims.1 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Mayfield, Kentucky in the household of his parents.2
     He was a compositor in the office of the Mayfield Weekly Monitor From 1880 to 1881.7,8
     Linah died on 25 May 1882, at his home in Mayfield, Graves Co., KentuckyG, at age ~20.6

John Eaker was born in Apr 1865 in KentuckyG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Mayfield, Graves Co., KentuckyG, in the household of his parents, John Eaker and Rebecca E. Mims.1 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Mayfield, Kentucky in the household of his parents.11
     John moved to New York CityG about 1893.12
     John married Lillian Faulkner Adams, daughter of Richardson F. Adams and Helen Scott, on 18 Mar 1897 in Manhattan, New York Co., New YorkG.7,8,9
     John and Lillian appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, at 149 Covert St. G, enumerated 5 Jun 1900, reporting they were renting their home. Their son Linah was listed as living with them.13
     He was a printer.14,15
     John evidently contacted a serious injury or disease. He was admitted to the Home for Incurables 28 Mar 1909 and Lillian and their son went to live with her parents.16 John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of New York, New York Co., New York, listed as an inmate at the Home for Incurables at the 3rd Ave. and 183rd St. G, enumerated 29 Apr 1910.17
     The Home for Incurables was established in 1866. The name was changed in 1947 to St. Barnabas Hospital for Chronic Diseases and is now known as St. Barnabas Hospital. The patients suffered from epilepsy, arthritic deformities, paralysis, senility and other chronic illnesses that could not be cared for in existing hospitals at the time. John's condition may have resulted in paralysis as one of the causes of his death was listed as hemiplegia, paralysis of half the body.18,19
     John died on 29 Dec 1910 in Home for Incurables, New York, New York Co., New YorkG, at age 45.10 He was buried on 1 Jan 1911 in Woodlawn Cemetery, New YorkG.10

William Edzard Sublett was born on 4 Jul 1812 in Lawrenceburg, KentuckyG.4,5,6
     William married first Mary Elizabeth Cook, daughter of William Cook and Elizabeth Rose.7,8
     William appeared on the 1840 Federal Census of Hickman Co., KentuckyG, with a household consisting of one male under age 5 to 20 (son William), one age 20 to 30 (himself), one female under age 5 (daughter Orilla), and one age 20 to 30 (wife Mary). There were also two female slaves, one under age 10 and one age 16 to 24.15
     William and Mary appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Hickman Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 21 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $500, and living in a hotel, apparently one they operated. Their children William, Orilla, A., and Anna were listed as living with them, as were five men, two merchants, two clerks, and a pedlar, apparently residents at the hotel, and three slaves.16,17
     His wife died on 10 Mar 1854.18,19,20,21
     William appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Columbus, Hickman Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 5 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $6,000 and personal estate of $2,000, and one slave. He was apparently living close by the household of Elizabeth Cook, his mother-in-law, where his children were living.22,23
     William married second Ellen Trowbridge, daughter of Jacob Trowbridge and Sarah Shepard.9,10
     William and Ellen appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Columbus, Hickman Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 8 Jun 1870, reporting real estate valued at $8,000 and personal estate of $2,000. Her daughter Okella Kimbel by a prior marriage was listed as living with them, as was Richard Smith, a 16-year old grocery clerk, presumably in William's store.24
     William and Ellen were apparently separated or divorced before 1880, as they appear separately in the 1880 census in the households of their respective daughters, each shown as widowed.25,26
     He was a grocer in Columbus, KentuckyG, for many years. He retired before 1880 and moved to Tennessee.2,3,24,27 William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., TennesseeG, in the household of his daughter Anna and her husband, Edward F. Sesson.28
     William died on 16 Dec 1891 in St. Elmo, TennesseeG, at age 79.13,5,14 He was buried in Columbus Cemetery, Columbus, Hickman Co., KentuckyG, with his first wife.11,12
