Mary Elizabeth Cook was born on 22 Jan 1817 in MarylandG.4,5,6
     She moved to KentuckyG with her parents by 1824. She was probably the female age 10 to 15 listed in the household of her mother, Elizabeth Rose, in the 1830 Federal Census of Columbus, Hickman Co., KentuckyG.13
     Mary married William Edzard Sublett, son of James Taylor Sublett and Susan E. Edzard.7,8 She was probably the female age 20 to 30 listed in the household of her husband William in the 1840 Federal Census of Hickman Co., KentuckyG.14
     Mary and William appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Hickman Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 21 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $500, and living in a hotel, apparently one they operated. Their children William, Orilla, A., and Anna were listed as living with them, as were five men, two merchants, two clerks, and a pedlar, apparently residents at the hotel, and three slaves.15,16
     Mary died on 10 Mar 1854 at age 37.4,11,12,6 She was buried in Columbus Cemetery, Columbus, Hickman Co., KentuckyG.9,10
