Narrative:

Aurelia J. Hallick was born in Oct 1838 in Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.4,5,6,7
     She was probably the female under age 5 listed in the household of her father, John Hallick, in the 1840 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.11
     Her mother died on 16 Feb 1841, when Aurelia was about two years old.12
     Her mother's brother, Robert Livingston Cobb, was appointed her guardian by the Caldwell Co. County Court on 16 Jan 1843, in the expectation that she and her siblings might be entitled to proceeds from the estate of their mother's brother, Isaac Clark Jr.13,14 On 15 Jan 1848 Robert reported to the Caldwell Co. County Court that he had received $87.05 as guardian of Aurelia and her siblings, their late mother's share of the estate of her brother Isaac. He reported he had loaned it at 6% interest to James H. Holloway. No further record of his guardianship have been found.15
     Aurelia appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of District No. 1, Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, in the household of her mother's sister Aurelia Skinner Cobb and her husband Dr. William Dodd Kirkpatrick.16,17
     Aurelia married Robert A. Mansfield, son of Rev. James Wilkerson Mansfield and Mildred Clark, on 7 Dec 1857 in Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.8,9
     Aurelia and Robert appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Fredonia, Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 10 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $7,625 and person estate of $7,200. Their daughter Elenora was listed as living with them.18
     Aurelia and Robert appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Walnut Grove, Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 8 Aug 1870, reporting real estate valued at $3,000 and personal estate of $1,200. Their children Elenora, Arthur, Carrie, Walter, Sydney, William, and Jennie were listed as living with them, as were two farm laborers, Green Baker, age 15, and Jesse Jenkins, age 18.19
     Aurelia and Robert moved their family to Texas before 1880. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Dallas Co., Texas G, enumerated 1 Jun 1880. Their children Elenora, Arthur, Carrie, Walter, Sydney, William, Jennie, and Minnie were listed as living with them.20
     Her husband died on 24 Sep 1885.21
     Aurelia appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at 554 Emory St. G, enumerated 6 Jun 1900, reporting she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her children Sydney and Minnie were listed as living with her.22
     Aurelia died on 26 Feb 1901 at age 62.10 She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Dallas, TexasG.10

     She was baptized on 16 Nov 1794 in the Evangelische Kirche, Dielingen, Prince-Bishopric of MindenG, with Marie Margrethe Engel Wulfs, Cathrine Margrethe Buschmeyers, and Gerd Fredrich Mattelmann as godparents.4
     Marie married Fredrich Hinrich Fenncker, son of Hermann Hinrich Fenncker and Annie Marie Ilsabein Köster, on 28 May 1820 in Evangelische Lutherische Kirche, Brockum, Kingdom of HanoverG.8,9
     Marie and Fredrich appeared on the Census of Brockum, Kingdom of Hanover, at No. 100, enumerated 3 Dec 1852.12

     He was baptized on 2 Jul 1820 in the Dielingen, Province of WestphaliaG.4
     He was confirmed in the Evangelische Lutherische Kirche, Brockum, Kingdom of HanoverG, in 1835, ranking second in his class.7
     Gerhard married Marie Margarethe Charlotte Thölke, daughter of Friedrich Heinrich Thölke and Marie Elisabeth Schniers, on 22 Oct 1852 in Evangelische Lutherische Kirche, Brockum, Kingdom of HanoverG.6
     He was maker of raw wooden products (Verfertiger grober Holzwaren) in Brockum.8
     At his death he was shown as a "Häusling," a landless crofter, living in a rented house of one of the farmers, for whom he had to work based on a contract.8
