     Fredrich Henrich Wilhelm Fenker was born on 13 Jul 1873 in No. 100, Brockum, German Empire.5,6,7
     He was baptized on 27 Jul 1873 in Brockum, German Empire, with Pastor Stendel officiating, and his cousin Anbauer (farmer) Johann Friedrich Fennker, Anerbe (farm heir) Friedrich Heinrich Striethorst, and Halbköthner (farmer) Hermann Henrich Willhelm Röhling (according to his place of residence), born Weber or Pieper, as witnesses.1
     Fredrich immigrated about 1888 to the United States.18,19,20
     As was the custom, he used one of his middle names, in his case the third one, Wilhelm. After his immigration he generally used the "Americanized" version though the German spelling appeared on formal documents. He did drop the double "n" in his surname, so was known as William Fenker.21,22,23
     William married Louisa Wilhelmina Ruscher, daughter of William Gerhard Ruscher and Charlotte Grunemeier, on 23 May 1894 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. C. P. Schulz offciating.8,9,10,11

     Fredrich and Louisa appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Columbia Rd., enumerated 15 Jun 1900. Their children August and Karl were listed as living with them.28
     He was a day laborer in 1900.29 He started with the Hyde Park Lumber Co. about 1902 as a laborer. He was a foreman there by 1920, and a tractor operator by 1930.30,31,32,33,34
     Fredrich and Louisa appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Oakley, Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Carpenter Ave., enumerated 26 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their home, and living apparently next door to Louise's parents. Their children August, Ludwig and Clarence were listed as living with them.22 His sister Louise and her family also seem to have living close by, as they are listed as the preceding household.35
     William registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living in 3316 Alamo Ave., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as a foreman at the Hyde Park Lumber Co., Cincinnati.21
     Fredrich and Louisa appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 3316 Alamo Ave., enumerated 2 Jan 1920. Their children August, Ludwig, Clarence, Esther, Walter and Gerhardt were listed as living with them.24 Again, Louise and her family were living close by, now half a block down the street, at 3338 Alamo Ave.36
     Fredrich and Louisa appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 3316 Alamo Ave., enumerated 18 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned a home worth $5,000, but did not own a radio set. Their children Ludwig, Esther, Walter, Gerhardt and Wilbert were listed as living with them.37
     Fredrich and Louisa appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 3316 Alamo, enumerated 17 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $3,100, and that they had lived in the same house in 1935. Their children Ludwig, Esther, Gerhardt and Wilbert were listed as living with them.38
     He was a mill hand at Hyde Park Lumber by 1940, when he reported he had worked 45 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,000. He retired from there in Jun 1949, after 45 years.39,40,41
     William died on 9 Jul 1949, two weeks after he retired, at his home, 3316 Alamo Ave., Oakley, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at age 75.12,13,14 He was buried on 12 Jul 1949 in Laurel Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.15,16,17
