Lettie Leona Judkins was born on 11 Feb 1901 in New Virginia, Warren Co., IowaG.4,5,6
     She moved to MinnesotaG with her parents about Mar 1902. She appeared on the 1905 State Census of Arthur, Kanabec Co., MinnesotaG, in the household of her parents, Estus N. Judkins and Prudence McIntosh.11
     She moved to South DakotaG with her parents about 1907.12,13,13 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Sisseton, Roberts Co., South Dakota, G in the household of her parents.14 She appeared on the 1915 State Census of Sisseton, Roberts Co., South DakotaG, in the household of her parents.15,16,17 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Aberdeen, Brown Co., South Dakota, G in the household of her parents.18
     She was employed at a college at age 18.19
     She returned to IowaG with her mother after her father's death. She appeared on the 1925 State Census of Indianola, Warren Co., IowaG, in the household of her mother, where she was attending college.20 Lettie graduated from Simpson College, IndianolaG, and did graduate study at the University of Illinois.7,21,22
     Lettie moved to IllinoisG with her mother, where she was a teacher in the public schools, before 1930.23 She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Lovejoy, Iroquois Co., Illinois, G in the household of her mother. Venice Sandersen, another public school teacher, was listed as rooming with them.24
     Lettie and her mother moved to Downers GroveG about 1932.23 She was a teacher in Downer's Grove High School, teaching business education. She reported in 1940 she had worked 25 hours the last week of March, and 38 weeks the prior year, earning $1,570. She taught there for 24 years before retiring when she married.25,26
     Lettie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Downers Grove, DuPage Co., Illinois, at 1305 Gilbert Ave. G, enumerated 8 Apr 1940, reporting she rented her home, for $25.00 per month. Her mother was also listed in the household, and they reported they had lived in the same city in 1935.27
     Lettie married Henry Hammond McNeill, son of Thomas Henry McNeill and Hannah E. Hammond, on 25 Jun 1956 in the Methodist Church, Downers Grove, IllinoisG, with Rev. Arthur E. Hagberg officiating.7
     After their marriage Lettie and Henry took a 38-day cruise to South America. They took many other cruises to various destinations in the following years.28,29
     Lettie and Henry settled Florida after their marriage, living at 512 Andrews Ave., Delray Beach. G It seems they also maintained a home in Chicago at least for a time.30
     Her husband died on 3 Oct 1981 in Palm Beach Co., FloridaG.31,32,33
     Lettie died on 8 Sep 1999 at age 98.8,9 She was buried in Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana, Palm Co., FloridaG.10
