     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of her parents, Peter J. Riley and Magdaline Fixari.4
     Her father died on 22 Jul 1906, when Esther was 7 years old.20,21
     She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of her mother and step-father, Frederick A. Matthey.22
     Her mother died on 11 Nov 1915, when Esther was 16 years old.23
     Esther married first George Lesher Jr., son of George Lesher and Katherine Gray, about 3 Oct 1919 in Hamilton Co., Ohio. He claimed to be 21 years old but was actually only 17.12,13
