     4 Sophronia S. Cobb was born on 25 Oct 1831 in Indiana.5,6,7
     She was probably one of the two females age 5 to 10 listed in the household of his father, Willard Burr Cobb, in the 1840 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.12
     Sophronia married Hiram P Stage on 4 Jul 1849 in Ripley Co., Indiana.8,9
     Sophronia and Hiram appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 24 Aug 1850, reporting no real estate. Thomas Stage, likely his brother, age 17 and also a wagon maker, was listed as living with them.13
     Sophronia and Hiram appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Brown Twp., Ripley Co., Indiana, enumerated 12 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $600 and personal estate of $300.14
     Sophronia and Hiram appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Franklin Twp., Putnam Co., Indiana, enumerated 14 Jun 1870, reporting no real or personal estate. Her sister Alice and Arthur R. Nailor, a minister, were listed as living with them.15
     Sophronia and Hiram appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Franklin, Putnam Co., Indiana, enumerated 17 Jun 1880.16
     Her husband died on 7 Jul 1895 in Zionsville, Indiana.17,18,19
     Sophronia applied for a widow's pension based on her late husband's Civil War service on 12 Jul 1895.20 Her pension was approved in Jul 1898, when she was living in Holton, Kansas, for $8 per month.21
     Sophronia moved to Indiana by 1900. She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Center Twp., Boone Co., Indiana, in the household of her sister Marietta and her husband, William Gibson Wynn.22
     Sophronia has not been found in the 1900 census. She had moved to Indianapolis by 1902, when she was living at 1602 Bellefontaine.23
     Sophronia died on 27 Oct 1904 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana, at age 73.10 She was buried on 28 Oct 1904 in Zionsville, Indiana.11
