     William Herdal Street was born on 6 Feb 1850 in Carroll Co., Missouri.7,8,9
     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Carroll Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents, John M. Street and Mariah Brady.13 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Morris Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.14 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Morris Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.15
     William married Emma Jane Preston, daughter of David Preston and Amelia Carson, on 25 Dec 1870 in Carroll Co., Missouri, with Rev. James Gillerland officiating.10,11,12
     William and Emma appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Morris Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, enumerated 3 Jun 1880. Their son Delbert was listed as living with them, as was her father, David Preston. They were apparently living near his parents, as they were listed as the next household in the census record.16
     William and three of his brothers made purchases at the sale of personal property from their father's estate on 15 Aug 1887. They purchased mainly hand tools and farm implements but also some of the produce and livestock. William's purchases included part of the 18 acres of standing corn for $55, 5 steers for $100, and a cow and calf for $27.50.17 William and two of his brother purchased from their father's estate parts of the hay crop harvested in the summer of 1887.18
     In the final distribution of his father's estate in Aug 1889, William and each of his living siblings received $602.17 9/11.19
     William and Emma appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Leslie Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, enumerated 7 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their son Delbert was listed as living with them, as was his wife, Verna S. Cook, and A. Benson, age 61, a farm laborer.20 His brother Charles and his family, including their mother, was apparently living nearby as they appear as the second following household in the census record.21
     William and Emma appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bogard, Carroll Co., Missouri, enumerated 25 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage.22
     He was a farmer, retired by 1920.16,20,23,24,25
     William and Emma appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Van Horn Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, on Brown St., enumerated 5 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage.26
     William died on 27 May 1929 in Bogard, Carroll Co., Missouri, at age 79.1 He was buried on 29 May 1929 in Oak Hill Cemetery.1
