     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Sangamon Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, David Preston and Amelia Carson.13
     She moved to Missouri with her parents before 1870. She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Morris Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents.14
     Emma married William Herdal Street, son of John M. Street and Mariah Brady, on 25 Dec 1870 in Carroll Co., Missouri, with Rev. James Gillerland officiating.10,11,12
     Emma and William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Morris Twp., Carroll Co., Missouri, enumerated 3 Jun 1880. Their son Delbert was listed as living with them, as was her father, David Preston. They were apparently living near his parents, as they were listed as the next household in the census record.15
