     Lydia S. Ritter was born on 1 Nov 1889 in Pennsylvania.8,9,10 She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents, Pierce Hiram Ritter and Sallie S. Funk.4
     Lydia married Charles Truman Simons, son of John Henry Simons and Mary Catharine Riegel, about 1906.11,12,13
     Lydia and Charles appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at 350 Cameron Ave., enumerated 20 Apr 1910, reporting that they were renting their home. Their son Franklin was listed as living with them, They were living about two blocks away from his brother Clarence and his family, who were living at 129 Cameron Ave.14
     Lydia and Charles appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at 342 Cameron Ave., enumerated 9 Jan 1920, reporting that they were renting their home, apparently from her father, who had owned it in 1910. Their son Franklin was listed as living with them, as was her father, Pierce Hiram Ritter.15
