     Pierce appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Turbotville, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 10 Jun 1880, listed as a boarder in the home of Elias Mowey and his family.14
     Pierce married Sallie S. Funk, daughter of Henry Funk and Eliza [surname unknown], about 1880.9,10,11
     Pierce and Sallie appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at 334 Arch, enumerated 1 Jun 1900, reporting that they were renting their home. Their children Edith, Annie, Lydia, Jane and Leah were listed as living with them.15
     Pierce and Sallie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at 342 Cameron Ave., enumerated 20 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Edith, Jane and Leah were listed as living with them.16
     His wife died on 16 Jan 1916 in Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania.17
