     Gertrude married Mark Eischeid, son of John H. Eischeid and Elenora Shurtz, on 23 Aug 1939.13,14,15
     Gertrude and Mark appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Shenandoah, Page Co., Iowa, at 706 7th Ave., enumerated 15 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $5,000, that he had lived in the same house in 1935, and she had lived in the same county.19
     Gertrude and Mark lived in Omaha, Nebraska, at 4902 Capital Ave., in 1941 while he attended Creighton University.20,21,22
