     Johanna Pruetzel was born on 14 Oct 1875 in Missouri.6,7,8 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents, Charles Pruetzel and Marie Hertel.13
     Johanna married Moritz G. Gapsch, son of Edward W. Gapsch and Sophie Herfurt, on 21 Nov 1897 in St. Lucas Evangelical Church, Sappington, St. Louis Co., Missouri, with S. Kruse, pastor, officiating.9,10
     Johanna and Moritz appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, enumerated 19 Jun 1900, reporting that the family rented its farm. Their children Charles, Maria and Henry were listed as living with them.14
     Johanna and Moritz appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, on Reaves Barracks Rd., enumerated 2 May 1910, reporting that the family rented its farm. Their children Charles, Maria, Henry, Gustave, Moritz and Robert were listed as living with them.15
