     She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Allegany Co., MarylandG, in the household of her parents, Nimrod H. Little and Zelotta Huff.12 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Allegany, Allegany Co., Maryland, G in the household of her parents.13
     Martha married first Isaac Harrison Foreman about 1884.7
     Martha and Isaac appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland, at 36 North Gay St. G, enumerated 15 Jun 1900, reporting they rented their home. Their children Edna and Mary were listed as living with them.14
     Her husband died on 9 Nov 1900 South Cumberland, Maryland, when a 14-foot deep trench for a new sewer he was working in on Arch St.G caved in on him and another worker.15,16
     Martha appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland, at 11 Virginia Ave. G, enumerated 23 Apr 1910, listed as a domestic servant in the household of John W. Smith, a bricklayer, and his wife and family. Her daughter Mary was also listed in the household.17
     Martha has not been found in the 1920 census, but she was living in Cumberland, MarylandG, and working as a domestic before her second marriage.18
     Martha married second Edward K. Flora, son of George Washington Flora and Mary Jane Eiker, on 16 Aug 1921 in Somerset, PennsylvaniaG, with Rev. Edgar F. Haffmeir officiating.8,9
     Martha and Edward appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland, at 309 Arch St. G, enumerated 5 Apr 1930, reporting that they were renting their home, for $25 per month, and owned a radio. Mary, her daughter by her prior marriage, and her husband Ercel J. McDonald were listed as living with them, as was Betty L. Thorpe, age 5, who was listed as a boarder.19
     Her second husband died on 16 May 1932 in Allegany Co., MarylandG.20,21
     Martha was living in 106 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MarylandG, in 1933 following her husband's death.22

Robert was not listed there.12 His mother appears on the 1910 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia,G in the household of her parents, shown as single. Robert is not listed there either, whether by error, because his presence was concealed, or because he was elsewhere is not known.13
     His mother married Chester Hooge Ways 22 Oct 1910, in Martinsburg.14 His step-father registered for the draft 5 Jun 1917, at 400 Porter, Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West VirginiaG, claiming he had a wife and child to support.15 However on 7 Jan 1920 his step-father was on the 1920 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, at 403 West John St.,G, listed as a boarder in a boarding house and shown as single. Robert and his mother were not listed there, and have not been found elsewhere in the 1920 census.16
     Robert and Julia Alberta Flora appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, at 803 3rd St. G, enumerated 14 Apr 1930, shown as married. They report they rented their home, for $12.00 per month, and did not own a radio. Their children Jean and Doris were listed as living with them, as were his aunt, Mary Palmer, and a cousin, apparently her son, Robert, age 6.17
     Robert and Julia, daughter of Edward K. Flora and Mary Arizona Wellen, were officially married on 10 May 1930 in Gettysburg, PennsylvaniaG, with Rev. Edward H. Jones officiating. They reported in the 1930 census that each had married at age 19, but Julia was listed in the 1928 and 1929 city directories under her maiden name.1,7,8
     Robert and Julia appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, at 207 Union Ave. G, enumerated 4 Oct 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $15 per month, and that they had lived in the same house in 1935. Their children Jean, Doris, and William were listed as living with them, as was his mother.2
     He was a laborer at Dunn woolen works in 1930, and a carder at a mill by 1940, when he reported he had worked 32 hours the last week of March, and 36 weeks the prior year, earning $500.18,19 Robert registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at 207 Union Ave., Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West VirginiaG, reporting he was employed by the Dunn Woolen Mill in Martinsburg.3
     Robert died on 16 Dec 1995 at age 88.9,10 He was buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West VirginiaG.11

All available records show that Jean and Doris were the children of both Julia and Robert, but they were born five and two years, respectively, before their parents' official marriage.      On 1 Jul 1934 he hitched a pair of young horses to a binder and began harvesting his crop. He was riding astride one of the horses with his younger brother Lemuel on the binder seat. A low-flying airplane spooked the horses, who bolted. John was thrown off the horse and run over by the binder. He died later that day of his injuries.16,17
