Narrative:

Margaret Ann Murphy was born in Sep 1854 in MissouriG.4,5,6
     Margaret married Allen W. Grubb, son of William Grubb and Mahala Anderson, about 1868 in IllinoisG.7,8,9
     Margaret and Allen settled Missouri after their marriage, remaining there six or seven years.10 They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Lee Summit, Jackson Co., MissouriG, enumerated 11 Jun 1870. Their daughter Evelina was listed as living with them.11
     Margaret and Allen moved to IowaG around 1875, remaining there nineteen years.10 They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lowell, Henry Co., Iowa G, enumerated 18 Jun 1880. Their children Ella and Frank were listed as living with them.12
     Margaret and Allen moved to Albany, Gentry Co., MissouriG, around 1895.10
     Shortly after her husband's death, Margaret, her son Albert, and her companion Sadie Schwyhart traveled to Glenville, NebraskaG, for a visit, returning about two weeks later.13,14
     Her husband died on 1 Oct 1899 in Albany, Gentry Co., MissouriG.15,16,17
     Margaret appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Albany, Gentry Co., Missouri, at Hundly G, enumerated 1 Jun 1900, reporting that she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her son Albert was listed as living with her, as was Sadie Schwyhart, age 29, listed as a companion.18
     Margaret moved to Springfield, MissouriG, after the death of her husband, where she became a dress maker.19 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri G, at 218½ W. Walnut St., enumerated 15 Apr 1910, reporting that she was renting her home.20
     No further record of her has been found.

Sarah Margaret Eischeid was born on 1 Jul 1905 in Shenandoah, Page Co., IowaG.4,5,6 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Shenandoah, Page Co., Iowa, G in the household of her parents, John H. Eischeid and Elenora Shurtz.12 She appeared on the 1915 State Census of Shenandoah, Page Co., IowaG, apparently in the household of her parents.13,14,15,3 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Shenandoah, Page Co., Iowa G, in the household of her parents.16
     She appeared on the 1925 State Census of 706 7th Ave., Shenandoah, Page Co., IowaG, in the household of her father.17 She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Shenandoah, Page Co., Iowa G, in the household of her father.18
     She was clerk at a university before her marriage.18
     Sarah married James Edwin O'Brien, son of Thomas Joseph O'Brien and Bridget Agnes Hunt, on 31 Aug 1935 in St. Mary's Church, Shenandoah, Page Co., IowaG, with Rev. Thomas J. O'Brien, the groom's brother, officiating.7,8,9
     Sarah joined her husband in ChicagoG after their marriage. They appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Glencoe, Cook Co., Illinois, at 670 Shendon G, enumerated 24 Apr 1940, reporting that they rented their home, for $150 per month, and that they had lived in Chicago in 1935. Their children James and John were listed as living with them, as was Virginia Anderson, a housemaid, age 26.19
     Sarah was named an heir in the will of Harry T. Shurtz, her mother's brother, who died 15 Sep 1941, under which a trust was established to contain all of the estate. Income from the trust was to pay $50 per month to the widow, and the remainder to be paid equally to her and her brother Mark. At the death of the widow they were each to receive one third of the estate, and the remaining third to go to the widow's two daughters.20
     Sarah and James appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Glencoe, Cook Co., Illinois, at 139 Longwood G, enumerated 18 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their children James and John were listed as living with them.21
     Sarah died on 6 Jun 1976 at age 70.10,11
