     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Halifax Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her parents, Jacob Davis and Catherine E. Toot.9,10 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Danville, Pittsylvania Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her parents.11,12
     Sally married David Ayres, son of William Ayres and Julia Ann Henderson, and a brother of the man her sister Maria married.7,8
     Sally and David appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Danville, Pittsylvania Co., VirginiaG, enumerated 1 Jul 1870, reporting personal estate of $500. Their son Warren was listed as living with them.13
     Sally and David appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Danville, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, at Main St. G, enumerated 5 Jun 1880. Their children Warren, Annie, and Page were listed as living with them, as well as his wife's cousin, Maria Louis Toot, and two Black female servants.8

     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Halifax Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her parents, Jacob Davis and Catherine E. Toot.11,12 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Danville, Pittsylvania Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her parents.13,14
     Maria married George C. Ayres, son of William Ayres and Julia Ann Henderson, and a brother of the man her sister Sally married.9,10
     Maria and George appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Danville, Pittsylvania Co., VirginiaG, enumerated 30 Jun 1870, reporting real estate valued at $16,000 and personal estate of $800. Their children William and Sallie were listed as living with them, as were her parents, Jacob Davis and Catherine E. Toot.15
