David Dutt was born in Sep 1698 in Flacht, WürttembergG.4,5 He was baptized on 12 Sep 1698 in Laurentiuskirche, Flacht, WürttembergG, with Hannss K__ and Barbara, wife of Hannss Jerg Reinhart as godparents.1
     David married Catharina Müller, daughter of Hanns Michel Müller and Anna Barbara Cästlein, on 25 Jul 1719 in St. Ulrich Kirche, Weissach, WürttembergG, on the day of the feast of Jacob, with a sermon taken from Matthew 20:20 and following.2,6
     He was a farmer.10,11,9,12
     David died in Jan 1735 at age 36.7,8 He was buried on 14 Jan 1735 in St. Ulrich Kirche, Weissach, WürttembergG, after a sermon based on Psalm 73, and the collection of 21 guilder.9

Narrative:

Sarah King was born on 28 Feb 1780.4
     Sarah married Adam Toot, son of David Dutt and Catherine Klingenmyer, on 6 Mar 1796 in Halifax Co., VirginiaG, with Rev. Thomas Dobson officiating.5,6
      On 14 Oct 1822 Adam and Sarah gave 280 acres of land in Halifax Co.G, which he had purchased from Granville Craddock a few months before, to their daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Dr. Davis Green Tuck.8,9 Curiously, the deed was not recorded until 8 Aug 1826, and the property, on Miller Rd., remained in Sarah's name in the tax lists until the following year. Perhaps his continuing to pay the taxes, $1.62 per year, was part of the gift?10
     Sarah died on 11 Jan 1835 at age 54.4 She was buried in Churchyard, Halifax Courthouse, Halifax Co., VirginiaG.7
Research Note, 27 Mar 2006:
Edmund seems to have married three times, with the mother of Sarah not clear. Kimberly Stanley states that Elizabeth is "thought to be" her mother.7

     Edmund and his son-in-law, Adam Toot, were vestrymen of Antrim Parish, Halifax Co., VirginiaG, and were referred to as "Gentlemen Justice."1
     Edmund sold the old King homestead in Halifax Co., VirginiaG, to Adam Toot on 23 Oct 1797, after Edmund and his family moved to Georgia.1
     His second wife died on 2 Apr 1798.1
