Lora Fitch was born about 1790 in VermontG.4,5,6,7
     Lora married William Cobb, son of John Cobb and Mary Fuller, on 6 Apr 1809 in Pawlet, Rutland Co., VermontG.8,9
     Lora and William moved to Vernon, Oneida Co., New YorkG, before 1812. His younger brother, Gideon joined them there.12,13,14 (See map.) William and Lora moved to Rochester, New YorkG, about 1813.15,16,17
     Her husband died on 21 Sep 1826 in Louisville, KentuckyG, while working on a mill there.18,19,20
     Lora was probably the female age 40 to 50 appearing on the 1840 Federal Census of Rochester, Monroe Co., New YorkG, in the household of William Ingersol Hanford, husband of her daughter Julia.21
     Lora appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Rochester, Monroe Co., New YorkG, in the household of her William and Julia. Her youngest daughter, Lora as also living with them.22
     Lora moved to Michigan, where her daughter Abigail and her family were living, before 1860. Lora appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Monroe, Monroe Co., MichiganG, in the household of her daughter Abigail and her husband, Charles Greene Johnson.23 Lora appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Monroe, Monroe Co., MichiganG, in the household of Abigail and Charles.24
     Lora died on 20 Dec 1871 at age ~81.10 She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Monroe, Monroe Co., MichiganG, in the plot of her daughter Abigail and her husband.11

Leman Andrus was born on 26 Apr 1797 in Pawlet, VermontG.4,5,6
     Leman married Wealthyann Cobb, daughter of Capt. Joshua Cobb and Hannah Edgerton, on 3 Nov 1816 in Pawlet, Rutland Co., VermontG, with Rev. John Griswold officiating.7,8,9 Leman and Wealthyann moved to Hebron, Washington Co., New YorkG, just to the west of Pawlet, after their marriage.10 (See map.) He appeared on the 1820 Federal Census of Hebron, Washington Co., New YorkG, with a household consisting of one male age 16 to 26 (Leman), one female under age 10 and one age 16 to 26 (wife Wealthyann Cobb.)11
     By 1830 Leman and Wealthyann had moved to Almond, Allegany Co. in western New York. After that they seem to have moved regularly around the western part of the state, perhaps prompted by his ministerial calling.12,13,14,15 Leman appeared on the 1830 Federal Census of Almond, Allegany Co., New YorkG, with a household consisting of one male age 20 to 30 (Leman, though he was about 33), one female under age 5 (daughter Thankful), one age 5 to 10, and one age 20 to 30 (wife Wealthyann Cobb, though she was about 22.)16
     He appeared on the 1840 Federal Census of Pendleton, Niagara Co., New YorkG, with a household consisting of one male age 10 to 15 and one age 50 to 60 (Leman, though he was only about 43), one female age 10 to 15 (daughter Thankful), and one age 40 to 50 (wife Wealthyann Cobb.)17
     Leman and Wealthyann appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Pendleton, Niagara Co., New YorkG, enumerated 24 Sep 1850, reporting real estate valued at $6,000. Their daughter Thankful was listed as living with them.3 They appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Wirt, Allegany Co., New YorkG, enumerated 28 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $800 and personal estate of $400.18
     Leman and Wealthyann moved to Fayette Co., IllinoisG, between 1860 and 1870.19 Leman and Wealthyann appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of La Clede Twp., Fayette Co., IllinoisG, enumerated 16 Jun 1870, reporting real estate valued at $1,700 and personal estate of $150.20 He and Wealthyann appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Farina, Fayette Co., Illinois G, enumerated 3 Jun 1880.21
     He was a school teacher, and a musician. He was licensed to preach by the Seventh Day Baptists in Pawlet as a young man, and continued as Baptist minister in New York.22,23,24,25
     Leman died on 3 Sep 1890 in Farina, IllinoisG, at age 93.2

James Harvey Maxwell was born on 12 Aug 1822 in Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.4,5,6
     James appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 29 Aug 1850, in the household of Dr. Thomas B. and Mary Johnson, apparently as a boarder.11
     James married Mary Marie Cole, daughter of Wilson Cole and Polly Fuller, on 7 Nov 1851.7,8
     James and Mary appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Fredonia, Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 9 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $10,700 and personal estate of $11,200. Their children Warren, Fuller, Carrie, and Herbert were listed as living with them, as were Jacob and John Myers, age 3 and 4 months, respectively, who appear to be the two youngest children of Dr. F. C. and Louiza Myers, the family listed previously in the record. There are also eight slaves listed, ranging in age from 3 to 75.12,13
     James and Mary moved to Illinois between 1864 and 1870. They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of De Soto, Jackson Co., IllinoisG, enumerated 4 Aug 1870, reporting real estate valued at $3,000 and personal estate of $6,000. Their children Warren, Fuller, Carrie, Herbert, Frank, and Nellie were listed as living with them.14
     James and Mary returned to Kentucky between 1870 and 1880. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Fredonia, Caldwell Co., Kentucky G, enumerated 23 Jun 1880. Their children Fuller, Carrie, and Nellie were listed as living with them.15
     He was a merchant in 1850. He considered himself a farmer by 1860, reported himself as retired in 1870, but by 1880 he was working as a dry goods clerk.16,17,18,19
     James and Mary moved to Alabama after 1880. Their sons and daughter Nellie also moved there. It seems most likely that at least some of their sons moved there first and the parents and younger children followed.
     James died on 2 Feb 1884 at age 61.9 He was buried in Oakland Cemetery, De Valls Bluff, Prairie Co., ArkansasG.10

     He was a farmer initially after moving to Texas. He then worked for Walker- Smith Grocery Co., transferred to Goldthwaite, then Midland, then in 1918 to Corpus Christi. He became a retail, later a wholesale, salesman for the firm. By 1930 he was an automobile salesman.13,14,15,16
     Henry registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living in Midland Co., TexasG, reporting he was employed as a shipping clerk at Walker-Smith Grocery Company in Midland.17
     Henry and Caroline moved their family to Nueces Co.G in 1918. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 1402 Comanche G, enumerated 17 Jan 1920, reporting that the family rented its home. Their children Wilford, Ailene, Harold, Max, and Irvin were listed as living with them.18
     Henry and Caroline appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 312 Carrizo G, enumerated 11 Apr 1930. Their children Wilford, Ailene, Harold, Max, and Irvin were listed as living with them.19
     He began working in law enforcement before 1940. In 1940 he was a special officer at a night club, reporting he had worked 56 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $500. He joined the Corpus Christi police force, then about 1942 became a deputy at the Nueces Co. Sheriff's Department.20,21,22
     Henry and Caroline appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 1216 Stillman G, enumerated 6 Apr 1940, reporting that they rented their home, for $35 per month, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their children Ailene and Irvin were listed as living with them.23
     Henry died on 29 Sep 1966 in Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., TexasG, at age 78.10 He was buried on 1 Oct 1966 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., TexasG.4
