     She came to Leavenworth, Kansas about 1884, and became a second grade teacher at the Oak Street School. During the school year she lived with Ellen Mary Cobb and Robert Garrett, her aunt and uncle, at their home on South Broadway.13,14 Ruth appeared on the 1895 State Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, in the household of Robert and Ellen.15
     Ruth married William Francis Cobb, son of Thomas Jefferson Cobb and Almeda Glenn, on 17 Oct 1900 in Princeton, Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.6,7,8

Garrett.14 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, G in the household of his parents.15 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, G in the household of his parents.16
