Juanita Ala Reigel was born on 20 Dec 1911 in Arrow, Lake Co., OregonG.4,5,6
     She moved to Deschutes Co., OregonG, with her parents, probably before 1917. She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Terrebonne, Deschutes Co., Oregon, G in the household of her parents, Ralph Orzben Reigel and Edith Jennie Roberts.14
     She apparently moved to Jackson Co., OregonG, with her parents, by the time of her marriage in 1929.15
     Juanita married Leland Renallet Silver, son of Theodore Perry Silver and Catherine Elizabeth Renollet, on 22 Jun 1929.7,8,9
     Juanita and Leland appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 (rear) B St. G, enumerated 3 Apr 1930, reporting that the family rented it's home for $4 per month, and owned a radio. They lived in the rear of the home owned by his mother.16
     Juanita and Leland appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 B St. G, enumerated 25 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $500, and had lived in the same house in 1935. It was the same house his parents had owned since they moved to Ashland before 1910. Their children were listed as living with them, as was his mother.17
     Juanita and Leland appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 B St. G, enumerated 5 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before. Five of their children were listed as living with them, as were his mother, and his brother George.18
     She was a worker at a fruit packing company in 1950, reporting in the 1950 census she had worked 40 hours the prior week, and that she had earned $1,000 in wages and $240 in other income the prior year.19
     Her husband died on 5 Jun 1971 in Jackson Co., OregonG.20,21
     Juanita died on 20 Jul 2000 in Jackson Co., OregonG, at age 88.10,11,12 She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, Jackson Co., OregonG.13

Vernon Ray Hall was born on 8 Sep 1895 in Spring Ranch, NebraskaG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Spring Ranch Twp., Clay Co., Nebraska, G in the household of his parents, Don Carlos Hall and Martha Ellen Emert.13
     Vernon moved to Potlatch, IdahoG, with his parents, and they lived there for a time before moving to Oregon about 1907.14 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Crook Co., Oregon G, in the household of his parents.15
     Vernon then moved to Douglas Co., Washington with his parents. Vernon registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at Mansfield, WashingtonG, reporting he was employed as a laborer on a farm, working for D. C. Hall, his father, at Withrow, Douglas Co., Washington. He claimed to be the principal support of his parents.1
     Vernon married Sara Matilda Reigel, daughter of Ralph Orzben Reigel and Edith Jennie Roberts, on 31 Oct 1918 in Waterville, Douglas Co., WashingtonG, with Rev. George E. Heineck officiating.7,8,9
     Vernon and Sara moved to OregonG, where her parents were living, soon after their marriage. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Terrebonne, Deschutes Co., Oregon G, enumerated 22 Jan 1920, reporting that they were renting their home. Their son Vincent was listed as living with them, as where as his parents.16
     Vernon and Sara and their two sons moved back to WashingtonG by 1930. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington G, at 1429 57th St, enumerated 21 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned a home worth $2500, and did not have a radio. Their children Vincent and Clifford were listed as living with them.17
     Vernon and Sara appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington, at 4122 S. M St. G, enumerated 5 Apr 1940, reporting they were renting their home, for $22 per month.18
     He was a laborer on a farm in 1920. By 1930 he was a laborer in a veneer plant, and a foreman in a lumber mill by 1940. That year he reported working 40 hours the last week of March, and 40 weeks the prior year, earning $1,200.16,17,18
     Vernon registered for the draft for World War II on 26 Apr 1942, while living at 316 S. 48th, Tacoma, Pierce Co., WashingtonG, reporting he was employed by Wheeler Osgood Corp., a plywood manufacturer, at Tide Flats, Tacoma.19
     Vernon and Sara moved to Skamania Co.G about 1949. They appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of North Bonneville, Skamania Co., Washington, at East 3rd St. G, enumerated 17 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm, and they had lived in Pierce Co. the year before.20
     He was a laborer at a plywood mill in 1950, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week, and had earned $3,750 the prior year.21
     Vernon died on 1 Sep 1978 in Pierce Co., WashingtonG, at age 82.10,11 He was buried in Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, Pierce Co., WashingtonG.12

Narrative:

Frank Edwin Martz was born on 1 Oct 1891 in Bartonsville, PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Hamilton Twp., Monroe Co., Pennsylvania, G in the household of his parents, Edwin C. Martz and Elizabeth Dreher.17 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Hamilton Twp., Monroe Co., Pennsylvania G, in the household of his parents.18 He was a laborer doing odd jobs.19
     Frank and his brother George traveled to Edmonton, Alberta, CanadaG, in 1913, passing through the border at Niagra Falls on 15 Jul 1913. They identified themselves as farmers and said they were each carrying $140. Whether they vacationing or intending to work in Canada in not clear.20
     Frank moved to OregonG by 1917. He registered for the draft for World War I on 13 May 1917, while living at Viewpoint, OregonG, reporting he was employed as a stonemason, working on a gymnasium in Bend Oregon.21,22
     Frank married first Bessie Regina Reigel, daughter of Ralph Orzben Reigel and Edith Jennie Roberts, on 29 Jul 1917 in Terrebonne, Deschutes Co., OregonG.7,8,9
     Frank and Bessie moved to Portland, OregonG, after their marriage. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon G, at 1153 Corbett St., enumerated 6 Jan 1920, reporting they were renting their home.23
     He was a laborer in building construction in 1920. In 1930 he was reported to be a washman at a laundry and in 1940 a foreman in a laundry. That year he reported having worked 60 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,700. He reported in the 1950 census he had worked 48 hours the prior week.23,24,25,26
     Frank and Bessie moved a number of times in the following years. They had children born in Salem and Tillamook, Oregon, before they settled in Jackson Co., OregonG, by 1927. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon G, at 115 Church St., enumerated 4 Apr 1930, reporting that the family rented it's home for $12 per month, and did not own a radio. Their children Frank, Edith, Donald, and Bessiepearl were listed as living with them.24
      By 1940 they had moved back to WashingtonG. They appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Pullman, Whitman Co., Washington G, at 210 Harrison, enumerated 22 Apr 1940, reporting that they were renting their home, for $25 per month, and had lived in Ashland, Oregon in 1935. Their children Edith, Donald, and Bessiepearl were listed as living with them, as was her cousin, Ernest Arthur Reigel.25
     Frank registered for the draft for World War II on 25 Apr 1942, while living at 1509 State St., Pulman, Whitman Co., WashingtonG, reporting he was employed by Pullman Laundry Co. on Grand St. in Pullman.2
     Frank and Bessie were divorced after 1940.10,11
     Frank married second Faye Jeanette Carley, daughter of Charles E. Carley and Florence Augusta Close, on 16 Sep 1947 in with Dwight L. Cort officiating, Snohomish Co., WashingtonG.12,13,14
     Frank and Faye appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Yakima, Yakima Co., Washington, at 202 W Yakima Ave. G, enumerated 10 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm.27
     Frank died on 14 May 1970 in Deer Lodge Co., MontanaG, at age 78.15,16
