About half of the children of Jacob K. and Christiana moved west, first to Missouri, then some on as far as the Pacific Northwest. The rest, so far as they have been traced, stayed in central Pennsylvania.
  1. Sarah and her husband have not been located, but apparently stayed in the area at least until her mother's death in 1893.
  2. Violetta and her husband moved to Missouri by the mid-1860s and remained there, though at least one of their sons found his way to California.
  3. John and his wife stayed in Pennsylvania, settling in Luzerne Co.
  4. Christiana and her husband remained in Northumberland Co.
  5. Benjamin and his wife moved to Missouri by the late 1880s, to Kansas by 1885, and to Washington about 1892.
  6. William joined his twin brother in Kansas, then he and his wife moved to Missouri. Some of their children migrated to Texas and Colorado.
  7. Mary and her husband remained in Northumberland Co.
  8. Mary, their youngest daughter, died as a small child.
