Narrative:
Susanna Cobb was born on 29 Apr 1782 in Pawlet, Vermont.6,7She was probably one of the five females listed in the household of her father, Ebenezer Cobb, in the 1790 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.14 She was probably one of the two females age 16 to 25 listed in the household of her father in the 1800 Federal Census of Shelburne, Chittenden Co., Vermont.15
Susanna married Holden Farnsworth, son of Reuben Farnsworth and Anna Kellogg, and brother of the woman her brother Ebenezer would marry a year later, on 31 Dec 1807 in Shelburne, Vermont, with Timothy Hollabird Esq., officiating.8,9,10
Susanna and Holden settled in Burlington, Vermont, after their marriage. She was probably the female age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband, Holden Farnsworth, in the 1810 Federal Census of Burlington, Chittenden Co., Vermont.16
Holden and Susanna moved across Lake Champlain to Essex, New York, before 1820. She was probably the female age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband in the 1820 Federal Census of Essex, Essex Co., New York.17 (See map.)
Her husband died on 20 Apr 1829.18,19
Susanna apparently lived with her daughter Calista and her husband in Burlington, Vermont, after they were married in 1839, and moved with them to Dunn, Wisconsin between 1840 and 1850. But where she and her young children lived between the death of her husband in 1829 and when she moved in with her daughter is unknown.20,21
Susanna was probably the female age 60 to 70 appearing on the 1840 Federal Census of Burlington, Chittenden Co., Vermont, in the household of Roswell Gilbert Spaulding, her daughter Calista's husband.22
Susanna appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dunn, Dane Co., Wisconsin, in the household of her daughter Calista and her husband, Roswell Gilbert Spaulding, her daughter and her husband.23
Susanna died on 6 Nov 1858 at age 76.11,12 She was buried in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Oregon, Dane Co., Wisconsin.13
