Reuben Farnsworth was born on 4 Jun 1751 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.1,4,5Reuben married second Anna Kellogg in Egremont, Massachusetts.6,7,8
Reuben and Anna moved to Dorset, Vermont, in 1775.1 Reuben appeared on the 1790 Federal Census of Landgrove, Bennington Co., Vermont, (which was enumerated 4 Apr 1791, after Vermont became a state in Mar 1791), with a household consisting of two males over 16 (himself and son Moses), four under 16 (sons Titus, Reuben, Holden and William) and, and five females (wife Anna and daughters Dorothy, Rhodah, Anna and Mary.)12
Reuben appeared on the 1800 Federal Census of Dorset, Bennington Co., Vermont, with a household consisting of one male under age 10 (son Titus), two age 16 to 15 (two of Reuben, Holden and William), one age 26 to 45 (Moses), and one over 45 (himself), and one female under 10 (daughter Sarah), two age 10 to 16 (Dorothy and Rhodah), two age 16 to 25 (Anna and Mary), and one over 45 (wife, Anna.)13
Reuben and Anna moved to Burlington, Vermont, in 1805.1
Reuben appeared on the 1810 Federal Census of Burlington, Chittenden Co., Vermont, with a household consisting of one male age 10 to 16 (son Jeduthan), and one over 45 (himself), and two females age 16 to 26 (daughters Sarah and Dorothy), and one over 45 (wife, Anna.)14
Reuben died on 18 Aug 1813 in Burlington, Vermont, at age 62.9,10 He was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Dorset, Vermont, sharing a headstone with his second wife.11
