Narrative:

Marguerite Elizabeth Slaughter was born on 2 Aug 1913 in Scotts Mills, Oregon.9,10,11
Her parents were divorced before 1918, when Marguerite was about 5 years old.26,27
She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of La Center, Clark Co., Washington, in the household of her mother, Anna Marie Schwankler, and stepfather, Forest Emery Reigel.28
She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Marquam, Clackamas Co., Oregon, in the household of her father, Charles Davis Slaughter.29
Marguerite married first Eugene Lee Bender, son of August F. Bender and Laura M. Reeder, on 3 Aug 1932 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, with J. A. Mears offciating.12,13
Marguerite and Eugene were divorced about 1934 apparently, as she re-married, but no record of the divorce has been found.
Marguerite married second Robert Walley about 1934, but no record of the marriage has been found. We know of it only because she is identified as his widow in his obituary. No other record of his has been found. It is possible his surname is mis-spelled in the obituary.14
Robert died in Mar 1936 in Seattle, in an automobile accident.30
Marguerite married third George Reason Goble, son of Minnie Zornes, on 30 Aug 1937 in Oregon City, Clackamas Co., Oregon, with Rev. Carl Legbove officiating.15,16,17
Marguerite and George moved to Seattle, Washington by 1938, when they were living at 262 E. Prospect. They were also listed there in the 1939 and 1940 city directories, but not after that. They have not been found in the 1940 census.31
Marguerite and George were divorced before 1944.18
Marguerite married fourth George Anthony Pfohl, son of George S. Pfohl and Cora A. Finnie, before 1947.19,20,21
George died on 24 Dec 1948 in Denver, Colorado, crushed in a Union Pacific rail yard while uncoupling box cars.32,33
Marguerite appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Baker, Adams Co., Colorado, at 2781 West 65th Ave., enumerated 27 Apr 1950, reporting she lived in a home that was not on a farm.34
She was working as a bookkeeper for Schwartz Printing in 1951.35
Marguerite married fifth Mr. Buxman about 1955, but no details of the marriage have been found.22
There were a number of men of age to have married Marguerite living in Colorado at this time, but none of them have been identified as her husband.
By 1957 Marguerite was working as a bookkeeper at Wiliam W. Myer Drug Stores, still living at 2781 West 65th, which by then was part of Denver. She appears there also in the 1958 and 1959 city directories. She was listed as Marguerite E. Buxman, but there is no record of her husband living with her.36
They were divorced by 1992, perhaps long before as no record of the divorce has been found.23
Marguerite died on 26 Jun 2002 at age 88.24,25
