     Austin Willard Angell was born on 6 Jun 1892 in Fifth East 260 So., Salt Lake City, Utah.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah, in the household of his parents, Charles Edgar Angell and Imogene Hall Cummings.5
     His mother died on 28 Aug 1903, when Austin was 11 years old.19,20,21 His father died on 12 Feb 1910, when Austin was 17 years old.22,23,24 Austin appeared with his siblings, on the 1910 Federal Census of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah, in the household of Imogene Angell, his older sister.25
     In 1910, at age 17, he was a checker at a dry goods store according to the census, and a wrapper at L & A Cohn, a department store, according to the city directory.25,26

     He moved to Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, before 1913 as he was living there at the time of his marriage.27
     Austin married first Ida May Reigel, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Riegel and Esther Matilda Gann, on 12 Oct 1913 in La Center, Clark Co., Washington, at the home of her parents, with R. Raudstrin, Luthran minister, officiating.12,13
     Austin and Ida lived in St. Clair Apartments, in Portland, Oregon after their marriage.28,29 By 1916 they had moved to 386 E 55th N.30
     Austin registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 386 E 55th N, Portland, Oregon, reporting he was employed as a credit man for Northwestern Electric Co. in Portland.2
     Austin and Ida appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, at 386 E 55 N, enumerated 10 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their son Austin was listed as living with them.31
     Austin and Ida appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, at 386 E 55th N, enumerated 7 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned its own home, and did not have a radio. Their children Austin and Norman were listed as living with them.32
     By 1931 they had moved to 3028 North East Brazee St.33
     Austin applied for a Social Security Number 2 Nov 1936, while living at 3028 North East Brazee St., Portland, Oregon, where he was employed by Northwestern Electric Company, at 920 South West Sixth Ave.8
     Austin and Ida appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, at 3028 NE Brazee, enumerated 17 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $7,500, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their son Norman was listed as living with them.34
     Austin registered for the draft for World War II on 25 Jun 1942, while living at 3028 North East Brazee St., Portland, Oregon, reporting he was employed by Northwestern Electric Co. in Portland.35
     He was a clerk at Northwestern Electric Co. by 1914. In 1915 he was a paymaster there and in 1916 a credit man. By 1918 he had become a purchasing agent for the company, a position he held for the rest of his career. In 1940 he reported that he had worked 44 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $4,800.36,31,32,37
     Austin and Ida appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, at 3028 NE Brazee, enumerated 15 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm.38

     Austin and Ida moved to California about 1950.39,40 They were living at 15968 Cherry Blossom Ln., Los Gatos, by 1956.41 They were living in 949 Menlo Ave., Menlo Park, San Mateo, California, by 1959.42,43,44
     His wife died on 18 Dec 1963 in Palo Alto, Santa Clara Co., California.44
     Austin married second Winifred Alta Manning, daughter of George Bonebarke Manning and Wilna Hadley, on 4 Nov 1964 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey Co., California, L.K. Whitfield, Methodist Minister officiating.14,15,16
     Austin and Winifred were living at 507 Melrose Ave., Santa Cruz, California, after their marriage.45,46 They were living in 180 Dakota Ave., Santa Cruz, at the time of his death.47,15
     Austin died on 16 Jan 1975 in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co., California, at age 82.17,18 He was buried on 20 Jan 1975 in Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, Oregon, next to his first wife.17
