     Debra Jane Gardner was born on 15 Jan 1853 in Ohio.5,6,7
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Brown Co., Ohio, in the household of her parents, Daniel S. Bumgardner and Margret Stultz.12
     Her mother died between 1865 and 1870, when Debra was about 14 years old.13
     Debra has not been found in the 1870 census. She was not listed with her father and six of her siblings, who had moved to Jefferson Twp., Adams Co., Ohio, by then.14
     Debra married Frederick S. Brose, son of Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Brase and Anna Maria Elisabeth Louise Wiemann, on 13 Feb 1873 in Highland Co., Ohio, with Rev. Charles Strond officiating.8,9
     Debra and Frederick appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Pike Twp., Brown Co., Ohio, enumerated 10 Jun 1880. Their children Wilmina, Effie and Anna were listed as living with them.15
     Debra died on 13 Jan 1885 in Sterling Twp., Brown Co., Ohio, at age 31.10,7 She was buried in New Harmony Cemetery, New Harmony, Brown Co., Ohio.11
