     Lory Emerson Thompson was born on 6 Apr 1884 in Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.7,8,9
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Paint Twp., Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, Charles G. Thompson and Phebe Wagner.4
     Lory moved to West Virginia before 1910. He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Dry Fork, Randolph Co., West Virginia, enumerated 21 Apr 1910, as one of ten boarders listed in the boarding house operated by Miss Jennie Keeley.17
     He was a filer at a saw mill by 1910.18
     Lory married first Grace Masshan Ethel Marshall, daughter of Ira D. Marshall and Clara M. Jackson, on 6 May 1911 in Alexander, Upshur Co., West Virginia, with Rev. A. F. Hess officiating.10,11,12
     Lory and Grace moved to Ohio before 1918. He registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at 803 Pearl St, Martins Ferry, Belmont Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as a saw filer for La Belle Box Company in Martins Ferry.3
     Lory and Grace appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Toledo, Lucas Co., Ohio, at 1428 Dorr St., enumerated 8 Jan 1920, reporting they rented their home.19

     Lory died on 27 Apr 1979 in Montgomery, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at age 95.14,15 He was buried in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mount Healthy, Hamilton Co., Ohio.16
