     Alma Elizabeth Stagge was born on 17 May 1889 in Elmwood Place, Hamilton Co., Ohio.8,9,10
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of her parents, Robert Frederick Stagge and Elizabeth Caroline Wieman.4 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of her parents.5
     She was a domestic with a private family before her marriage.5
     Alma married first Roy Everett Stevens, son of Charles H. Stevens and Anna M. Bush, on 1 Jan 1913 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. John H. Lease, Methodist minister, officiating.11,12,13
     Alma and Roy appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Plainville Pike, enumerated 9 Jan 1920. Their children Loretta, Elsie and Dorothy were listed as living with them.21
     Alma and Roy appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Drake Rd., enumerated 10 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned a home worth $2,100, and owned a radio. Their children Loretta, Elsie, Dorothy and Charles were listed as living with them.22
     Alma and Roy separated 4 May 1936, with him moving to 1621 De Sales Lane while she stayed at their home on Drake Road.23 Alma filed a petition for alimony 20 Jan 1937, charging Roy with not supporting her and their four children, and associating with other women. She also said he had threatened to dispose of their home and asked the he be enjoined from doing so.24 The case was heard in Domestic Relations Court 29 Apr 1937, when Alma told the court Roy had promised to stop seeing Orpha Miner, formerly a friend of the family, but he continued to do so. He admitted knowing her, but denied paying her any attentions. He said he and his wife were "not well mated" and they never lived happily together. The judge took the case under consideration. No record has been found of the result.23
     Roy filed for divorce from Alma on 14 Mar 1939 in Hamilton Co., Domestic Relations Court, charging she was never satisfied with anything he did, was extremely jealous and had struck him on several occasions. No record of the result has been found, but evidently a divorce was granted because he had married Orpha Wilson by the middle of the following year.14,15,16
     Alma appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 6018 Madison Rd., enumerated 7 Apr 1940, reporting she rented her home, for $19 per month, and that she had lived in the same city in 1935. Her children Loretta and Charles were listed as living with her.25
     Alma married second Lory Emerson Thompson, son of Charles G. Thompson and Phebe Wagner. He was the widower of Grace Masshan Ethel Marshall.17
     Alma and Lory moved to Columbus before 1950. They appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, enumerated 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm.26
     Her second husband died on 27 Apr 1979 in Montgomery, Hamilton Co., Ohio.27,28
     Alma died on 10 Oct 1989 in Silverton, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at age 100.18,19 She was buried in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mount Healthy, Hamilton Co., Ohio.20
