     Roy Everett Stevens was born on 15 Feb 1891 in Indian Hill, Hamilton Co., Ohio.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Charles H. Stevens and Anna M. Bush.4 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.5
     He was a clerk for a fire insurance company by 1910.26,27
     Roy married first Alma Elizabeth Stagge, daughter of Robert Frederick Stagge and Elizabeth Caroline Wieman, on 1 Jan 1913 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. John H. Lease, Methodist minister, officiating.12,13,14
     Roy registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 6725 Windward, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as a clerk for George Huebner.2
     He was a machinist for a railroad by 1920, reporting in 1940 he had worked 42 weeks the prior year, earning $1,910. He reported in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week.28,29,30,31
     Roy and Alma appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Plainville Pike, enumerated 9 Jan 1920. Their children Loretta, Elsie and Dorothy were listed as living with them.32
     Roy and Alma appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, on Drake Rd., enumerated 10 Apr 1930, reporting that the family owned a home worth $2,100, and owned a radio. Their children Loretta, Elsie, Dorothy and Charles were listed as living with them.33
     Roy and Alma separated 4 May 1936, with him moving to 1621 De Sales Lane while she stayed at their home on Drake Road.34 Alma filed a petition for alimony 20 Jan 1937, charging Roy with not supporting her and their four children, and associating with other women. She also said he had threatened to dispose of their home and asked the he be enjoined from doing so.35 The case was heard in Domestic Relations Court 29 Apr 1937, when Alma told the court Roy had promised to stop seeing Orpha Miner, formerly a friend of the family, but he continued to do so. He admitted knowing her, but denied paying her any attentions. He said he and his wife were "not well mated" and they never lived happily together. The judge took the case under consideration. No record has been found of the result.34
     Roy filed for divorce from Alma on 14 Mar 1939 in Hamilton Co., Domestic Relations Court, charging she was never satisfied with anything he did, was extremely jealous and had struck him on several occasions. No record of the result has been found, but evidently a divorce was granted because he had married Orpha Wilson by the middle of the following year.15,16,17
     Roy married second Orpha Miner, daughter of Charles Miner and Ada O. McIntyre, about 1940. She had previously been married to Kenneth Wilson.18,19,20
     Roy and Orpha appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Norwood, Hamilton Co., Ohio, enumerated 1 May 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $27 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935. Her son by her previous marriage, Warren Wilson, was also listed in the household.36
     Roy registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living at 28 Edith St., Newtown, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by Norfork and Western Railroad in Clare, Ohio.3
     Roy and Orpha appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 3758 Meadowlark, enumerated 18 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Her son Kenneth by her prior marriage was listed in the household, as were two infant girls listed as lodgers, four-month-old Christine Adkins and one-month-old Lee Reeves.37
     Roy died on 4 Mar 1956, at his home, 537 Hickman St., Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 65.21,22,23 He was buried on 7 Mar 1956 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford, Clermont Co., Ohio.24,25
