     Henry Stewart was born on 22 Sep 1856 in Jasper Co., Illinois.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, James Stewart and Elizabeth Jones.15 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.16
     His father died on 9 Dec 1875, when Henry was 19 years old.17
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of New Liberty, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of his mother and stepfather and brother of his late father, Sanford C. Stewart.18
     Henry married Mary Ruth Terhune, daughter of James B. Terhune and Martha M. Cobb, and younger sister of the woman his younger brother Isaiah had married four years before, on 15 May 1887 in Jasper Co., Illinois.11,12
     Henry and Mary appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Liberty, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 4 Jun 1900, reporting they rented their home.19
     He was a general merchant in 1900, and a salesman at a grocery store by 1910.20,21

     Henry and Mary appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 12 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $1,000, and did not own a radio. His widowed brother Orlando was listed as living with them.24
     Henry and Mary were operating a restaurant by 1930. She had retired by 1930, but he continued.25,26,27
