     Jesse Willard Kuhlmann was born on 10 Jan 1875 in Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana.9,10,11 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, in the household of his parents, Nathan Henry Kuhlman and Mary C. Glick.17
     His mother died on 2 Aug 1880, when Jesse was 5 years old.18,19,20
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, in the household of his father and stepmother, Martha J. Crawford.5
     He was working in a shoe factory in 1900, and was still living in Huntington, working as a shoemaker, when he married.21,22
     Jesse married Della L. Stockberger, daughter of John Jacob Stockberger and Mary I. Butchelor, on 30 Apr 1902 in Rochester, Fulton Co., Indiana, with W. F. Snitzer officating.12,13,14
     Jesse and Della settled in Huntington after their marriage. By 1906 they were living at 17 S. Jefferson.23
     Jesse and Della moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, by 1908. By 1909 he was working as a sewer at Wayne Shoe Manufacturing Co.24,25 They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana, at 666 Third St., enumerated 21 Apr 1910, reporting they rented their home.26
     Jesse and Della returned to Huntington by 1917, when they were living at 815 Ogan. He was working at Neuer & Eisenhauer, dealers in fine footware.27 He registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at 815 Ogan Ave., Huntington, Indiana, reporting he was employed as an electric shoe repairer for Neuer & Eisenhauer.3
     By 1927 he was a running his own shoe repair business, at 44 S. Jefferson. He reported in 1940 he had worked 50 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year.28,29,30,31
     Jesse and Della appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, at 530 William St.., enumerated 3 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $3,000, and owned a radio. Her mother was listed as living with them.32
     Jesse and Della appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, at 530 William St., enumerated 9 Apr 1940, reporting they rented his home, for $15.00 per month, and that they had lived in the same town in 1935.33
     His wife died on 12 Nov 1944 in Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana.34
     Jesse died on 12 Aug 1957 in Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, at age 82.15 He was buried on 14 Aug 1957 in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana.16
