     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Crawford Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents, Samuel Hyer Jr. and Naomi Wilson.12 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Spring Lake, Dent Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents. Her future husband, John R. Flora, as also listed in the household.13
     Amanda married John R. Flora, son of George Flora and Rebecca Simpson, on 8 Apr 1862 in Dent Co., Missouri.9
     Amanda died about 3 Aug 1869.10 She was buried in Lake Spring Cemetery, Lake Springs, Dent Co., Missouri.11
