     Margaret Ann Murphy was born in Sep 1854 in Missouri.4,5,6
     Margaret married Allen W. Grubb, son of William Grubb and Mahala Anderson, about 1868 in Illinois.7,8,9
     Margaret and Allen settled in Missouri after their marriage, remaining there six or seven years.10 They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Lee Summit, Jackson Co., Missouri, enumerated 11 Jun 1870. Their daughter Evelina was listed as living with them.11
     Margaret and Allen moved to Iowa around 1875, remaining there nineteen years.10 They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lowell, Henry Co., Iowa, enumerated 18 Jun 1880. Their children Ella and Frank were listed as living with them.12
     Margaret and Allen moved to Albany, Gentry Co., Missouri, around 1895.10
     Shortly after her husband's death, Margaret, her son Albert, and her companion Sadie Schwyhart traveled to Glenville, Nebraska, for a visit, returning about two weeks later.13,14
     Her husband died on 1 Oct 1899 in Albany, Gentry Co., Missouri.15,16,17
     Margaret appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Albany, Gentry Co., Missouri, at Hundly, enumerated 1 Jun 1900, reporting that she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her son Albert was listed as living with her, as was Sadie Schwyhart, age 29, listed as a companion.18
     Margaret moved to Springfield, Missouri, after the death of her husband, where she became a dress maker.19 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri, at 218½ W. Walnut St., enumerated 15 Apr 1910, reporting that she was renting her home.20
     No further record of her has been found.
