It was apparently the closest parish church to his family's home in Fawn Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, Maryland.12
He was probably one of the four males under age 10 listed in the household of his father, William Mooberry, in the 1800 Federal Census of Fawn, York Co., Pennsylvania.13
He moved to Franklin Co., Ohio, in 1806 with his parents.2
David married Margaret Stumbaugh, daughter of John Stumbaugh, on 3 Feb 1823 in Franklin Co., Ohio.7

He was a farmer and stock raiser, accumulating by purchase and entry about 900 acres. In addition to farming he operated a sawmill for eight or ten years.2,16 The 1850 census of Tazewell Co., enumerated 2 Sep 1850, provides a snapshot of the farm he left at his death. He had held 200 acres of improved land and 100 acres of woodland, valued at $4,000, plus $150 worth of implements. He had 7 horses, 9 milch cows, 4 working oxen, 3 other cattle, 13 sheep, and 14 swine.
