Narrative:

George L. Fielder was born on 15 Mar 1830 in Meriwether Co., GeorgiaG.4,5,6
     He was probably the male under age 5 listed in the household of his father, Terrell Fielder, in the 1830 Federal Census of Morgan Co., GeorgiaG.12 He was probably the male age 5 to 10 listed in the household of his father in the 1840 Federal Census of Meriwether Co., GeorgiaG.13
     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Meriwether Co., GeorgiaG, in the household of his parents, Terrell Fielder and Rebecca.14
     George married first Sarah E. Britton, daughter of Isham H. Britton and Mary W. Toot, on 9 Nov 1853 in Tallapoosa Co., AlabamaG, with John Britton officiating. Whether this was her brother John or someone else is unknown.7,8
     George and Sarah settled Alabama after their marriage.
     George and Sarah moved to MississippiG about 1859. They appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Scott Co., MississippiG, enumerated 25 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $760 and personal estate of $3,000. Their children Mary and Sarah were listed as living with them.2
     George and Sarah moved to LouisianaG before 1870. They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Claiborne Parish, LouisianaG, enumerated 9 Aug 1870, reporting real estate valued at $500 and personal estate of $300. Their children Mary, Sarah, and Thomas were listed as living with them.15
     George and Sarah moved to TexasG about 1875. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cooke Co., Texas G, enumerated 7 Jun 1880. Their son Thomas was listed as living with them.16
     He was a farmer.17,18,19,20
     His wife died on 18 Feb 1889.21
     George married second Lucy C. Britton, daughter of Isham H. Britton and Mary W. Toot, younger sister of his late wife, on 31 Jul 1890 in Halifax Co., VirginiaG.9,10
     George and Lucy appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cooke Co., Texas G, enumerated 8 Jun 1900, reporting they lived on a farm.22
     George died on 27 Oct 1909 at age 79.6 He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Cooke Co., TexasG.11
