Margarett J. Stanley was born in Sep 1836 in Halifax Co., VirginiaG.4,5,6,7
     She was probably one of the two females under age 5 listed in the household of her father, Isaac Stanley, in the 1840 Federal Census of Halifax Co., VirginiaG.11
     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Halifax Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her parents, Isaac Stanley and Margarette Flora.12
     Margarett appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Halifax Courthouse, Halifax Co., VirginiaG, in the household of her mother.13
     Margarett married William H. Hamlett, son of Robert Hamlett and Mary, on 8 Dec 1869 in Halifax Co., VirginiaG.8,9,10
     Margarett and William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia G, enumerated 24 Jun 1880. Their children Mary, Maggie, George, and William were listed as living with them Her children Mary were listed as living with her, as were his mother and her mother.14
     Margarett and William appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Pittsylvania Co., Virginia G, enumerated 5 Jun 1900, reporting that they were renting their home.15
