     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Wilson Twp., Yell Co., Arkansas G, enumerated 1 Jun 1900, in the household of John Morris, a farmer, and his wife Eva, and two nephews. She was listed as a hind-servant, which generally means a servant who works on a farm.12
     Susan married first J. C. Cole on 28 Sep 1901 in Pope Co., ArkansasG, with J. L. Dickey, justice of the peace, officiating.2
     Susan married second William G. Smith on 7 Nov 1907 in Conway Co., ArkansasG, with R. A. Baird, justice of the peace, officiating.3,7
     Susan and William appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Perkins, Saline Co., Arkansas G, enumerated 9 May 1910, reporting they were renting their farm. Their son Frank was listed as living with them, as were her children by her prior marriage Nettie, Grace, and John, his children by his prior marriages, W. G. Jr., Olla, Effie, and Homer, and the daughter of his second wife, Annie Thompson.13

     George married Hannah Sutliff.7,8
     George and Hannah appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Huntington Twp, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 17 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $100 and personal estate of $50. Their children Lydia, Joseph, Clarissa, and Elizabeth were listed as living with them, as was Moses F. Souder, age 12, who is listed last as if he is not their child.1
     George and Hannah appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Shickshinny, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 25 Aug 1870, reporting real estate valued at $200. Their children Joseph, Clarissa, and Elizabeth were listed as living with them, as was Frances Pifer, age 7, relationship unknown.2
     He was a basket maker in 1860, and a laborer by 1870.1,2
     George apparently died before 1880, as his wife is shown as a widow in the 1880 census.9

Alvin Souder was born on 25 Dec 1896 in Dallas, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.5,6,7
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, G in the household of his parents, Joseph Souder and Sarah E. Reigle.20
     His father died on 12 Jun 1907, when Alvin was 10 years old.21,22,23 Alvin appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fairmount Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, in the household of his mother and step-father, Moses F. Souder.24
     Alvin moved to Wilkes-Barre by 1915 with his mother, where they lived in the rear of 61 Loomis.25
     Alvin married first Loretta Dugan, daughter of Bernard Dugan and Elizabeth Cassidy, on 10 Apr 1917, with John Masterson, alderman at Wilkes-Barre, officiating.8
     Alvin registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 35 E. Union, Wilkes-Barre, PennsylvaniaG, reporting he was employed as Central Railroad of New Jersey, at Ashley, Pennsylvania.3
     Alvin and Loretta Dugan were living at 91 S. Wells in Wilkes-Barre by 1923.26 He was living at 23 Hazle St., Wilkes-BarreG, at the time of his divorce from Loretta. He reported that her current residence was unknown, and they had lived together in the city until 5 Jan 1924.27

     He worked for a railroad most of his life. He worked in car repair by 1915, and later became a brakeman. In 1940 he reported he had worked 50 hours the last week of March, and had worked 30 week the prior year, earning $700.32,33,34 By 1950 he was a conductor, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 48 hours the prior week.35
     Alvin and Margaret appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Ashley, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, at 62 Mary St. G, enumerated 5 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their six children were listed as living with them.36
     Alvin died on 22 Apr 1973 in Hanover Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, at age 76.15,16,17 He was buried on 24 Apr 1973 in Idetown Cemetery, Idetown, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, next to his parents and his third wife.18,19

Gladys V. Souder was born about 1903 in Dallas, PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6
     Her father died on 12 Jun 1907, when Gladys was about 4 years old.17,18,19 Gladys appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fairmount Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, in the household of her mother and step-father, Moses F. Souder.20
     She was working in a silk mill before her marriage.2
     Gladys married first Benton Culver, son of Robert E. Culver and Sarah Thomas, on 15 Jun 1921 in Plymouth, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, with William E. Smith, justice of the peace officiating, with the consent of her mother as she was a minor. He had previously been married to Edith May Rule.7,8
     Gladys and Benton appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Shickshinny, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, at 8 Nicely St G, enumerated 9 Apr 1930, reporting that they rented their home, for $5 per month, and did not own a radio. They were apparently renting from his adoptive father, who is listed as living in the same building and shown as owner. Also listed as living with them is Glen Killian, age 16, a nephew.21 Her sister Thelma and her family were listed as living across the street.22
      Gladys was granted a divorce from Benton in Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, 14 Apr 1934, on grounds of cruel treatment.9,10
     Gladys married second Ernest Charles Pitchford, son of James Pitchford and Minnie Voight, before 1939. He had previously been married to Ruth E. Baber.11,12,13

Joseph Souder was born in Feb 1851 in Huntington Twp, PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Huntington Twp, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents, George Souder and Hannah Sutliff.1 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Shickshinny, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents.14
     Joseph married Sarah E. Reigle, daughter of John Jacob Reigle and Olive Rogers, about 1883.7,8
     Joseph and Sarah appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 2 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Corey, Olive, and Alvin were listed as living with them.15
     He was a day laborer.16,17,2
     Joseph died on 12 Jun 1907 in Lehman Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, at age 56.9,10,11 He was buried on 15 Jun 1907 in Idetown Cemetery, Idetown, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, next to his wife.12,13
