Olive Rogers was born on 28 Oct 1846 in Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6 She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her parents, Jonathan Rogers and Margaret Orr.10 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her parents.11
     Olive married John Jacob Reigle, son of Jacob K. Riegel and Christiana Ohl.7,8
     Olive and Jacob appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 12 Jun 1880. Their children Sarah, John, Margaret, and Christie were listed as living with them.12
     Olive died on 9 Feb 1881 in Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, at age 34.7,5 She was buried in Idetown Cemetery, Lehman Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.7,9
     Under her mother's will dated 20 Jun 1884, Olive's children were to receive a share of the mother's estate equal to that of her sisters, dividing what was left after payment of $700 to her brother John.13

     Jonathan appeared on the 1840 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, with a household consisting of one male under age 5 (son George), one age 5 to 10 (John), and one age 30 to 40 (himself), one female under age 5 (daughter Mary), one age 5 to 10 (Hannah), and one age 30 to 40 (wife Margaret Orr.)11
     Jonathan and Margaret appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 12 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $600. Their children Hannah, John, Mary, George, Sarah, Louisa, Olive, and Jane were listed as living with them.1

     Margaret married Jonathan Rogers.7,8,9 She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, Jonathan Rogers, in the 1840 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.11
     Margaret and Jonathan appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 12 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $600. Their children Hannah, John, Mary, George, Sarah, Louisa, Olive, and Jane were listed as living with them.12
     Margaret and Jonathan appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 14 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $600 and person estate of $200. Their children Sarah, Louisa, Olive, Jane, and Catherine were listed as living with them.13

     Her husband died on 28 Nov 1882.16
     Margaret left a will dated 20 Jun 1884 stating she lived in Lehman Twp., Luzerne Co.G. She directed that after her burial expenses and debts were paid that her son John was to receive $700. Her daughters were then to receive an equal share of the remainder, with heirs of her deceased daughters to receive their mothers' shares. She appointed her son-in-law Wesley Spencer as executor.17 She was buried in Idetown Cemetery, Idetown, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.10
     Margaret died on 17 Jun 1886 at age 79.4
     Her will was proved on 14 Jul 1886 in Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, and the next day letters of testamentary were issued to Wesley Spencer as executor.17

Sarah E. Reigle was born on 18 Oct 1868 in Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, G in the household of her parents, Jacob Reigle and Olive Rogers.20
     Sarah married first Joseph Souder, son of George Souder and Hannah Sutliff, about 1883.7,8
     Sarah and Joseph appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 2 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Corey, Olive, and Alvin were listed as living with them.21
     Her husband died on 12 Jun 1907 in Lehman Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.22,23,24
     Sarah was living in Lehman CenterG, working as sexton of a church, before her second marriage.25
     Sarah married second Moses F. Souder on 25 Mar 1910 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, with John P. Pollock, Wilkes-Barre alderman, officiating. He was related to her first husband somehow, but they were apparently not brothers.9,10,11
     Sarah and Moses appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fairmount Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 7 May 1910, reporting that they rented their farm. Her children by her prior marriage, Alvin, Gladys, and Thelma, were listed as living with them, as was Miles Brown, age 64, listed as a boarder.26
     Moses died on 20 Aug 1911 in Harveyville, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.27,28,29
     On 2 Apr 1912 Sarah filled for the payments due on her late husband's civil war pension that had been accrued but not yet paid. She said she was then living in Lake Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG. On the same date she applied for a widow's pension based on his service. Her widow's pension was rejected on 30 Apr 1912 on the ground that the cause of death, stomach cancer, had not been shown to be due to his military service.30
     Sarah moved to Wilkes-Barre by 1915 with her son Alvin, where they lived in the rear of 61 Loomis.31 Sarah was living in Salem Twp.G before her third marriage.25
     Sarah married third Robert E. Culver, son of Lyman Culver and Mary Zimmerman, on 8 Oct 1918 in Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, with L. F. Seward officiating.12,13
     Sarah and Robert appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Shickshinny, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, at Chestnut St., enumerated 9 Jan 1920, reporting that they were renting their home. Her daughter by her first marriage, Thelma, were listed as living with them.32
     SarahNeither Sarah nor Robert have been found in the 1930 census despite an exhaustive search.
     Robert died on 30 Aug 1937 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.33,34
     Sarah was living in 93 Irene St., Shickshinny, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, at the time of her death.35

John Jacob Reigle was born on 23 Jun 1870 in Dallas, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, G in the household of his parents, Jacob Reigle and Olive Rogers.11
     John married Lois Adeline Martin, daughter of Gabriel Martin and Sarah Ann Walton, on 26 Oct 1892 in Dallas, Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG, with Rev. J. Underwood officiating.7,8
     John and Lois appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Ross Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 26 Jun 1900. Their son Charles was listed as living with them.12
     John and Lois appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, on Shaverton Rd. G, enumerated 10 Jan 1920.13
     His wife died on 4 Jun 1927 in Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., PennsylvaniaG.14,15
     John appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, on State Rd. G, enumerated 2 Apr 1930, reporting he owned his home, worth $6,000, and did not own a radio. Listed two households away is his son, Charles, and his wife, apparently with her parents living with them.16
     He reported his occupation as a day laborer in the 1900 census. But he later became a carpenter, reporting that trade, doing general work in 1920. In 1930, he said he was engaged as a carpenter in house building, perhaps with his son, who lived nearby and reported he was a contractor building houses.17,18,19,20
