     Sarah and Joseph appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania G, enumerated 2 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Corey, Olive, and Alvin were listed as living with them.21

     On 2 Apr 1912 Sarah filled for the payments due on her late husband's civil war pension that had been accrued but not yet paid. Her widow's pension was rejected on 30 Apr 1912 on the ground that the cause of death, stomach cancer, had not been shown to be due to his military service.30
     Sarah moved to Wilkes-Barre by 1915 with her son Alvin, where they lived in the rear of 61 Loomis.31 Sarah was living in Salem Twp.G before her third marriage.25
