Eva May Smith was born on 5 Jun 1889 in Cincinnati, OhioG.4,5,6
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Lynchburg, Highland Co., Ohio, G in the household of her parents, Edward Smith and Anna Cook.13
     Her father died before 1910.14
     Eva moved to CincinnatiG with her mother after her father died. She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, G in the household of her mother.15
     She was a cashier at a restaurant before her marriage.16
     Eva married Louis Henry Capelle, son of William Capelle and Maria Wilhelmina Wieman, on 9 Aug 1914 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG, with Rev. H. Harfner officiating. He was the widower of May L. Zimmer.7,8,9
     Eva and Louis appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 1504 Aster Place G, enumerated 12 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children Louis and Smith were listed as living with them.17
     Her husband died on 16 Apr 1925 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG.18,19,20
     Eva appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 1504 Aster Place G, enumerated 11 Apr 1930, reporting she owned a home valued at $7,500, and owned a radio. Her children Louis, Smith, Albert, and John were listed as living with her.21
     Eva returned to the area where she grew up, in Highland Co., with her four sons before 1935. She appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Dodson Twp., Highland Co., Ohio, on Panhandle Rd. G, enumerated 10 Apr 1940, reporting she owned a home valued at $1,550, and that she had lived in the same house in 1935. Her children Louis, Smith, Albert, and John were listed as living with her.22
     Eva returned to Cincinnati before 1950 with at least one of her sons. She appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 112 15th St. G, enumerated 26 Apr 1950, reporting she lived in a home that was not on a farm. Her son Smith was listed as living with her.23
     Eva died on 18 Jun 1952 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG, at age 63.10,11 She was buried on 21 Jun 1952 in Cemetery of Spring Grove, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG, in the lot she owned.11,12
