Narrative:

Maria Gapsch was born on 8 Apr 1900 in Affton, St. Louis Co., MissouriG.4,5,6 Maria and Henry were twins.14,15
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, G in the household of her parents, Moritz G. Gapsch and Johanna Pruetzel.16 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., Missouri in the household of her parents.17 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Affton, Missouri in the household of her parents.18
     Maria married first Henry Heintz.7
     Maria married second Philip L. Schmidt, son of Philip Schmidt and Louisa, on 9 Feb 1927 in St. Louis Co., MissouriG.8,9,10
     Maria and Philip appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, on Keeler Rd. G, enumerated 19 Apr 1930, reporting that the couple owned a home valued at $6,000 and did not own a radio.19
     Maria and Philip appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Lemay Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, on Keller Rd. G, enumerated 9 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $5,000, and had lived in the same house in 1935. Listed as living with them was Charles Polison, a 17-year-old farm laborer, listed as a lodger.20
     Maria and Philip were living in Rural Rt. #1, De Soto, Jefferson Co., MissouriG, at the time of her death.13
     Maria died on 29 Jul 1953 in St. Louis, MissouriG, at age 53.11,12 She was buried on 1 Aug 1953 in St. Johns Cemetery, St. Louis Co., MissouriG.13

     Philip married first Maria Gapsch, daughter of Moritz G. Gapsch and Johanna Pruetzel, on 9 Feb 1927 in St. Louis Co., MissouriG.7,8,9
