Narrative:

John A. Vallance was born about 1816 in Pennsylvania.4
John married Margaret Flora, daughter of George Flora and Rebecca Simpson.5,6,7
John and Margaret appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Licking Creek Twp., Fulton Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 17 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $300. Their children George, Rebecca and Robert were listed as living with them.1
     He was a farmer.1
John apparently died about 1860, as he does not appear with the family in the 1860 census, and no further record of him has been found. Unsourced online trees show his death as 3 Jul 1860, which if correct means he should have appeared on that census, which was supposed to have been as of 1 Jul 1860.8,9
