     Amy Allen was born on 3 Dec 1778 in Vermont.5,6
     Amy married Capt. Willard Cobb, son of Elkanah Cobb and Mary Willard, before 1805.7,8,9 On 20 May 1805 Amy and Willard sold 13½ acres, 20 rods of land in Pawlet to Daty Allen, who owned the adjacent property, for $750. No record of them acquiring it has been found. The fact that this is the only one of his many deeds that includes her suggests she may have inherited it.7
     She was probably the female age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband, Capt. Willard Cobb, in the 1810 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.13
     By 1820 Amy and Willard had moved from Pawlet to Wells.14,15 She was probably the female age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband in the 1820 Federal Census of Wells, Rutland Co., Vermont.14
     They moved to Fort Ann, New York in 1824, where he built a store house at Polley's Landing before they moved on to Indiana.16,17 (See map.)
     Willard and Amy moved their family to Indiana, near where his older brother Joshua was living, by 1830. Amy was probably the female age 40 to 50 listed in the household of her husband, Capt. Willard Cobb, in the 1830 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.18 She was probably the female age 40 to 50 listed in the household of her husband, Capt. Willard Cobb, in the 1840 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.19
     She and Willard appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Mahaska Co., Iowa, enumerated 13 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $500. Their children Parolina and Sarah were listed as living with them.20
     Amy died on 27 Aug 1856 in Iowa at age 77.10,11 She was buried in White Cemetery, Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., Iowa.12
