     Adin Ralph Reigel was born on 21 Sep 1905 in Lewiston, Idaho.8,9,10
     He moved to Oregon with his parents about 1908, when they took up homesteading there, having first moving to Washington when they returned there. He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Silver Lake, Lake Co., Oregon, in the household of his parents.5 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Terrebonne, Deschutes Co., Oregon, in the household of his parents.21
     Adin married Jessie Myrtle Welburn, daughter of Samuel James Welburn and Jennie Eldora Stingley, on 23 Nov 1929 in Medford, Oregon, with W. H. Eaton offciating.11,12,13
     Adin and Jessie Myrtle Welburn appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 160 Nob Hill St., enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting that they rented their home for $15 per month, and did not have a radio. The household included a roomer, a 73 year old widow who was a practical nurse.22
     He reported his occupation as a fireman at a steam laundry in the 1930 census in Ashland, Oregon.22
     Adin and Jessie moved to Orland, California, by 1932, when their daughter was born.23,24
     Adin and Jessie separated about 1935.25
     Adin returned to Oregon by 1935. He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 3 Mead, enumerated 27 Apr 1940, reporting he owned a home valued at $200, and had lived in the same town in 1935. He is shown as absent at the time, and sharing his home with W. Hugh Stewart, a 30-year-old highway worker.26
     He reported in the 1940 census that he had worked 29 weeks in the prior year and had earned $690, but at what occupation is not recorded.26
     Adin registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at 1105 Oak St., Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, reporting he was employed by the State Highway Commission.2 He later worked in fruit orchards near Orland and then Corning, California.27
     He was called up for the draft, and left 6 May 1942 for Portland, Oregon, with 14 other men for final examination for admittance into the U.S. Army. He was apparently rejected for the service.28
     Adin and Jessie were divorced on 29 Sep 1942 in Coos Co., Oregon. He had filed a petition 31 Jul 1942 on grounds she had deserted him 15 Jul 1941. She did not contest.14,15,16
     He reported to his draft board in Feb 1943 that he was living in Corning, California.29 He reported to his draft board in Aug 1943 that he was living in West End Dormitory in Bremerton, Washington.29
     After being rejected for military service, Adin and his brother Bennie worked at the shipyards in Bremerton, Washington, during World War II.27,30 After the War he worked for the Oregon highway department, painting lines on the state's highways.27
     Adin moved to Santa Cruz, California, where his parents were then living, by 1948.31 He worked in the laundry business there. In 1948 he was foreman at Ivory Service, a laundry. He reported in the 1950 census he was a wringer man, and had worked 40 hours the prior week. He also reported working 50 weeks in 1949, earning $2,750 in wages or salary.32,33,34
     Adin appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of San Jose, Santa Clara Co., California, at 800 Willow St., enumerated 10 Apr 1950, reporting he lived in a home that was not on a farm and he lived in Santa Cruz Co., California the year before.35
     Adin died on 4 Dec 1955 in 1037 17th Ave., Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co., California, at age 50.17,18 He was buried on 7 Dec 1955 in I.O.O.F Cemetery, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co., California.6,19,20
