     Elmo Lloyd Muller was born on 25 Jun 1910 in Groveland Twp., Illinois.10,11,12
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, William H. Muller and Kathryn A. Wistehuff.5 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.6
     Elmo attended North Central College, Naperville, Illinois, for a year.19,20
     Elmo married Gertrude Elizabeth Heiple, daughter of William Augustus Heiple and Matilda Christina Glabe, on 15 Feb 1936 in Washington, Illinois, at her parents' home. Rev. George Wykle, pastor of the Zion Evangelical Church, officiated.13,14,15
     Elmo and Gertrude appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 23 Apr 1940, reporting that they were renting their home, and had lived in the same town in 1935.21
     He was a dairyman, becoming a milk dealer operating his own business by 1940. That year he reported he had worked 50 hours the last week of March.22,23 He registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, reporting he was self employed.3 He reported in the 1950 census he had worked at his dairy 101 hours the prior week.24
     Elmo and Gertrude appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, at 602 Eldridge, enumerated 11 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm, but on over three acres.25 On 2 Jul 1951, having sold his dairy, he sold off his cattle and farm equipment at action. They included 66 head of dairy cattle, 46 of them registered Ayrshires, and 5 pigs. The equipment included feeders, milking equipment, hay equipment, and a 1934 Ford truck.26
     He later operated a termite and pest control service.27,28
     Elmo and Gertrude were living at 110 N. Church, Washington, at the time of his death.16
     Elmo died on 10 Feb 1967 in Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, at age 56, found hanging from a rafter in his garage by his wife.16,17 He was buried in Glendale Cemetery, Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois.18
