     Heinrich Glebe was born on 5 Jun 1846 in Niederaula, Kurfuerstentum Hessen, (Electorate of Hesse.)7,8,9,10
     He arrived with his parents, Johann Jakob Glebe and Anna Katharina Stein, on 3 May 1848 in the New York, New York.14,15 Heinrich Glebe was known as Henry after he immigrated to Illinois. He seems to have eventually adopted the Glabe spelling of his surname like his younger siblings.3,16,17
     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Jacob Glebe and Katherine Stein.18 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.19 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.20
     Heinrich married Anna Goembel, daughter of Jacob Goembel and Louisa Eliza Luther, on 18 Oct 1874 in Henry Co., Illinois.11,12,13
     Henry grew up in Farmdale, where he met and married Anna. He lived all his life in Washington.4 He was one of the few members of his family who was not a farmer. He left the farm and became a carpenter, building houses, and also such things as desks, cupboards, and bookcases. Several of his pieces are still in use.21,22,23,24
     Henry and Anna appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 1 Jun 1880.25 They appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 18 Jun 1900.17
     Heinrich died on 17 Apr 1901 in Washington, Illinois, at age 54.4 He was buried in Washington Cemetery.4

Henry and Anna had no children of their own. They adopted, whether formally is not known, one daughter. She is supposed to have married a man named Dunbar and moved to Chicago. She does appear there in the 1900 census, under her maiden name, but no further record has been found of her.26,27,28
