By 1909 he was listed as a manufacturer's agent for enamelware, at 10 E 2nd St.

He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio,

Alfred married Jessie Blanch Billiter, daughter of Allen Billiter and Mary Ann Burnett, on 14 Jun 1910 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio

In 1911 he was listed as a manufacturer of syrup for soda fountains at 913 W. Court St.
