Fred Henry Grishow was born on 15 Nov 1899 in Philo, Champaign Co., Illinois.10,11,12He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Urbana Twp., Champaign Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, John H. Grishow and Ameilia C. Templin.4
He moved to Oklahoma with his parents before 1910. He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Parks Twp., Kingfisher Co., Oklahoma, in the household of his parents.20
He moved to Missouri with his parents before 1918.
He was a farm laborer on the home farm as a youth.21 Fred registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at Savannah, Andrew Co., Missouri, reporting he was employed at farming, by his father.22 In 1930 he was listed as a farmer, working for wages, likely still on his father's farm.23
He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Lincoln Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.6 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Clay, Andrew Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.24
Fred married Opal Helen Jennings, daughter of Marion Elberg Jennings and Francis Anna Morris, on 14 Feb 1934 in Troy, Kansas.13,14,15
