     Opal appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Hayes, Franklin Co., Kansas, enumerated 11 Apr 1930, in the household of Ralph Edwards, a farmer, his wife Edith, and their 12-year-old son. She was listed as an orphan.20
     Opal married Fred Henry Grishow, son of John H. Grishow and Ameilia C. Templin, on 14 Feb 1934 in Troy, Kansas.10,11,12
     Opal and Fred appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, enumerated 2 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $5 per month, and that they had lived in rural Holt Co., Missouri in 1935. Their son John was listed as living with them.21
